硫黄を運んだ索道
上山市美咲町の回覧板「美咲町の今昔(歴史)」、
第8回は「硫黄を運んだ索道」でした。
美咲町には昭和２０年代から、３０年代後半まで、硫黄を運ぶ鉄索がありました。
蔵王鉱山から、仙石の山を越えて、上山駅まで13kmの鉄索でした。
毎日、田んぼの中で、カラカラと、鉄索音が響いていました。
なつかしい光景です。
